Do you know this concept, aging phenomenon? This is a situation that the rate of aged people among the total population is getting higher because of the increase of the average life expectancy. In Korea, this problem is too serious due to the baby boom generation given birth to after the Korean War which broke out in 1950. The baby boomer became 65 years old this year. And this age is the standard age of classifying the people as aged people. Now the rate of aged people is 12.7%, and it is forecasted that this rate will increase continuously (Hae Jun Lee, “Korea”). Aging phenomenon is related to various social problems, and people just say that they think it is a serious and has to be solved. But the counterplan of the government is unsatisfactory compared to the gravity of the problem (“Don’t”).
